Why Quartz
Quartz worksurfaces are Non-porous, scratch resistant and highly resistant to stains, Quartz counter tops are fabricated in the same way as granite worktops, click here to see a quartz worktop being fabricated, the main advantage of quart over a granite worktop is that they are generally guaranteed to be non porous by the manufacturer. Another advantage is that in comparison to granite worktops it is almost maintenance free and easy to clean due to its slightly matt finish. Quartz surfaces also have four times the flexural strength and double the impact resistance of granite while impressively outperforming marble.
This means quartz can be installed in thinner forms to save weight, or in larger sections to reduce the amount of joints on a surface. Available as thin as 7mm make quartz perfect for large format wall cladding applications and we can also cap and existing worktop to minimise disruption.
