How We Work
Choosing a Worktop
The first step is choosing a worktop, for most of our clients the key issue is design, the aesthetic look of the surface and secondly the price and practicalities. The main design considerations are colour, polish (Matt or Shiny), thickness and lastly fabrication options such as edge details, upstands and curves etc which all contribute to the overall theme and style of your kitchen worktops. We recommend you visit our showroom if possible to view the 100’s of materials we have available and discuss options, click here to view a short video of our showroom and brief explanation of the different worktops available. Alternatively please view our worktop design guide advice on achieving you desired kitchen worktop look. For an over view of the each worktop material please click on the granite worktop home page, quartz worktop home page, corian worktop home page or the glass worktop home page. If your still unsure of which worktop best suits your needs download our comparison chart or phone us to discuss and request a sample.
Getting a quote
Once you are happy you have the perfect worksurface for your kitchen you will need a price. There are several ways you can do this the quickest way is to use our autoquote (this is currently on unavailable for quartz worktops and granite worktops) system click here to get an immediate quote, alternatively you can email, fax or post a plan to us and we will endeavour to have a price to you within 12 hours. If none of these options are possible it may be possible to arrange a site visit to measure and quote. If the quote is acceptable we can send out a sample of the material, when using natural stone we can also send a photo of the actual slab or where possible we recommend you view the material in person. Booking a template
The next step is to book a template, generally we require 1-2 weeks notice depending on our workload. If you are having a whole new kitchen installed we can take the template for your new kitchen worktop as soon as your base units are installed and all your sinks, taps and hobs etc are available on site. Alternatively you can order your sinks and taps through us and we will bring them with us, click here for our exclusive range of competitively price sinks and taps which carry a lifetime warranty. At this point we ask for a 50% deposit. We then take an exact template using Corex, this normally takes around 1 hour depending on the size of your kitchen. You can view a video of a template being completed here. If you are replacing an existing worktop we can template over the top of your current kitchen countertop, then remove your old worktops and install your new worksurfaces in just one day. We can also arrange for any plumbers or electricians that may be required to reinstall sinks, taps and hobs etc. Click here for our templating check list.
Fabrication
We then take the templates back to our factory and make your new kitchen worktops using a combination of the latest in computer controlled machinery and highly skilled mason to give an exceptional finish. To see a black granite worktop being cut and finished, click here.

5 working days after templating we will return to install your beautifully fabricated worktop, our installation teams are all directly employed by us so we can maintain our exacting standards and meticulous attention to detail. You can find our guide detailing what makes a good job here. Most installations take around 4 hours to complete, out teams will thoroughly clean and seal your worktop leaving your kitchen spotless. We ask that you or a trusted representative are on site for the installation to sign the job off on completion, a pack will be left on site giving details of our warranty and detailed care instructions to ensure you get the best from your new surface.
